According to the CMI ‘2017 Annual Future Forecast’, the majority of UK Managers are pessimistic about the UK’s economic prospects for 2017. 75% of Managers surveyed felt that investing in skills is more important now than ever, as the UK prepares to leave the EU.
The good news is that Managers remain positive about the future of their businesses. However, HR managers surveyed in the CIPD’s ‘Winter HR Outlook 2016-17’ believe that Leaders in their organisations do not have all the skills and behaviours needed to get the best from their people.
The survey revealed that Manager’s financial, technical and operational competencies were high, but leaders were deemed ineffective at performance management, people management and developing people.
So, in a time where businesses are experiencing ‘VUCA’ (Volatility, Uncertainty, Complexity and Ambiguity) the need has never been so high for improvement in business performance through the effective development of people.
To remain competitive, businesses need to strengthen the capabilities of their Leaders and Managers, and adapt to the changing needs and desires of their workforce.
We understand that you want your employees to be engaged with your business mission, values and vision. You want to ensure that they have the skills and knowledge to excel in their jobs now and in the future.
You will gain a competitive advantage in the current business climate if you have the right people armed with the right skills.
GBS is a leading provider of bespoke learning solutions. We work with our clients to co-develop customised and blended learning programmes. Each is unique to the organisation that we work with, developed to match their specific requirements.
Blended learning is a method of training that involves both face-to-face classroom instruction as well as the use of a variety of online methods. We use the best of each, combining them to provide the most effective, tailored solution for your business need.
We are skilled in selecting the most appropriate and effective methods for your organisational needs. Classroom learning provides an immersive experience, whilst eLearning allows individuals to learn at their own pace. We can employ a range of different methods in our solutions, such as classroom training, eLearning, team building events, business simulations, social learning and project circles.
The GBS Way outlines how we design and drive our programmes. It is a simple three-step process of Listen – Solution – Implement.
Listen: at the start of our process, we listen to you carefully and evaluate your requirements. We understand that every customer is different and that your goals and challenges are unique.
Solution: Once we have gained an in-depth understanding of your needs, we design a bespoke learning package tailored to your business requirements. The package will be unique to your business. We will constantly evaluate this along the way, and always deliver a cost effective solution to agreed quality standards and timescales.
Implement: We embrace the 70:20:10 model of blended learning (70% learn from experience, 20% learn from others and 10% structured learning). Our solutions aim to achieve real behavioural change within your organisation that extends far beyond the classroom.
The benefits of the GBS Way are:
