Who are Trainer and HR Development Courses For?
It is a well-known fact that a course is only as good as the person who is delivering it. How many courses have we all sat through where the trainer is dull, there is little interaction, or skills practice, and the content bears no relevance to us or our business, and so we sit, doodling, twiddling our thumbs and watch the clock… watch the clock. If this sounds familiar, then there is the need for professional development.
Our suite of training and development courses sets each trainer up for success, in order that they can then design and deliver motivational learning interventions that really do make the difference for their delegates.
Trainer and HR Development - Course Topics

Advanced Training Techniques
A training course is only as good as the trainer who delivers it. So often, excellent scoping, and content design can be wasted by poor delivery. Nothing is as effective as training that motivates everyone in the target audience and inspires a desire to change and apply the skills taught. Good training should leave attendees feeling enthused about the subject, and confident that they can effectively use the information learned.

Facilitation Skills for Trainers
Facilitating learning is an approach often described as the microwave approach to learning, where the pupil learns from the inside out, unlike conventional training where the pupil learns from the outside in. Each has their place, but a facilitated style of teaching is one that encourages ownership through involvement, and allows the learner to explore topics fully and share their experiences to help the group achieve their course objectives.

Identifying Training Needs
Perhaps one of the most important aspects within the operating process of a business is determining the competence and capability of the workforce, and identifying how development can fill the gap. Not only do you need to identify what people can’t do, but you also have to prioritise each need. Additionally you have to have a close eye on the future and determine what skills are required to meet future strategic and organisational needs. Finally, you have to create a strong business case to convince the budget holder that this is a good investment of both time and money.

Train the Trainer
This course has been designed for new or existing trainers who require the knowledge needed in order to prepare training materials thoroughly and deliver effective training sessions. It also covers the methods that enable people to become confident and successful trainers. It is ideal for those who are required to plan, prepare, deliver and evaluate structured learning sessions for trainees.
