Managing Diversity and Inclusion

Course Overview

Our Commercial world is now a global world, encompassing different cultures, people and attitudes, and one of the key issues as an organisation is managing or embracing diversity.

Managing a team comes with its own responsibilities, not least that of promoting a positive approach to equality and diversity in the workplace. In order for the team to work effectively there needs to be guidelines set by their Leaders as to what is acceptable behaviour and attitude in the workplace. There are also sound business reasons for embracing diversity, including a reduction in resources and costs required to manage and investigate complaints of discrimination, grievances and other HR issues.

This one day GBS course is aimed at giving all employees an understanding of the key issues and responsibilities in promoting a positive approach to equal opportunities and diversity.

  • Understanding the importance of raising awareness of individual and organisational responsibilities
  • Be able to demonstrate the behaviours that help to create an environment that promotes diversity and equal opportunities
  • Explore the impact on participants and those they manage
