Who are these qualifications for?

By taking this course you will learn the skills to carry out the management responsibilities of an effective manager and start your career with confidence. This qualification is ideal for new and aspiring junior managers.

The single mandatory unit focuses on problem solving and making decisions and units from group 2 range from managing innovation and change in your organisation or understanding leadership and what it takes to lead and motivate a team. GBS will work with your employer and training provider to map supplementary units to match your needs and skills gaps. This includes units from Levels 2 and 4, to help your professional career development.


Progression pathway

Successful learners can progress to a range of qualifications including the following:

  • ILM Level 3 Certificate in Leadership
  • ILM Level 3 Certificate in Coaching and/or Mentoring
  • ILM Level 3 Certificate in Enterprise and Entrepreneurship
  • ILM Level 3 Diploma in Leadership and Management
  • ILM Level 3 Diploma in Facilities Management
  • ILM Level 4 Award in Leadership
  • ILM Level 4 Award, Certificate or Diploma in Management

Total time required for the qualification

150 hours


Structure

There are 4 unit groups with at least 2 hours of induction and 4 hours tutorial support. A minimum of 15 credits (a minimum of 4 credits from group 2 and a maximum of 7 credits from group 4), and no more than 24 credits are required to achieve this qualification.
