We normally know how to manage our own teams, or colleagues, but being able to successfully “manage” our Boss, or more senior colleagues can present a challenge for many, and is a really useful skill for anyone in business to perfect. There are so many times we have to manage upwards: we might need more staff, or an increase in the budget a change to an existing working practice, perhaps different working conditions.
Additionally, it can sometimes be a struggle for some to have a healthy relationship with the boss, or others more senior, and this can cause friction as well as negatively impact motivation and ability to perform at our peak.
This GBS course will teach you how to better understand your boss, or your boss’s boss and their motivators and drivers, and teach you techniques to adapt your communication style, improve your ability to influence outcomes, achieve your aims, and ensure a healthy relationship exists between you.
