Course Overview

All businesses experience variation which impacts process stability, predictability and capability. In addition to costly scrap and rework, variation can also impact a business’s ability to ship product and services on time.By reducing and controlling process variation, quality levels can be improved, and the associated costs reduced freeing up valuable resource to work on future development and growth.

Six Sigma is a mathematical term used to describe a performance goal. It is also a methodology, a philosophy and a way of doing business used by many of the World’s most successful companies. Sigma certification plays a huge part in the functioning of a large company.

The programme is conducted over 5 defined phases known as DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyse, Improve and Control). The terms Yellow Belt, Green Belt, Black Belt and Master Black Belt certification refer to the skill level and training received by the practitioner.

The GBS Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification conversion is an advanced course designed for those leading and supporting multiple improvement projects across their business units.
